T08Job Description Summary
Individual will: be involved in leadership work; assist full-time staff with development of rules/policies; enforce rules; provide technical assistance to lab participants; provide youth homework assistance; be required to keep usage records; be expected to maintain a clean and well-organized work area; provide correct, courteous answers to verbal inquires; and perform other duties as assigned. Employees in this position work under supervision, and their work is subject to frequent inspection and review by supervisory personnel through conferences and attendance reports.
Applicants must: be at least 21 years of age, possess and maintain a valid Missouri Drivers license; have basic computer skills that include internet, word processing, operating systems and printers; have the desire to work with kids of all ages; be able instruct at-risk/low income children and youth in various subjects; be able to plan and organize computer activities; have the ability to give routine instructions and resolve disputes with firmness and impartiality; be able to lift, move, or carry supplies such as printers, computer monitors or desks; attend mandatory staff meetings; follow dress code policy; have excellent customer service/customer relation skills; have the ability to work independently; and be reliable. Prefer that the applicant have some basic computer networking knowledge.

Temporary/Seasonal employees do not qualify for sick, holiday or vacation pay. Pay checks are issued bi-weekly. The school year hours (until May 31) are Monday-Friday 2:30p-7p. Summer hours (June 1-August 15) will be 11a-6p. Additional hours may be available; mornings, evenings or weekends.
